By using this website or booking services with Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before scheduling an appointment or making any purchase.
Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC offers professional therapeutic massage therapy and related wellness services. All services are provided by Lauren Piro, a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Washington, DC and Virginia. Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC is a solo practice with no affiliates, associates, or franchises.
Massage therapy services offered through this practice are strictly professional and therapeutic in nature. Nothing on this website or in the course of treatment constitutes medical advice, medical diagnosis, or medical treatment.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. No information shared during a session or communicated through this website should be construed as medical advice. Clients are encouraged to consult a licensed physician or healthcare provider regarding any health concerns.
Prior to receiving services, clients are required to disclose all relevant health information, including but not limited to recent surgeries, injuries, pregnancy, chronic conditions, medications, and known contraindications. Failure to disclose accurate and complete health information releases Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC from liability for any adverse outcome that results from undisclosed conditions.
There are circumstances under which massage therapy is contraindicated. Lauren Piro reserves the right to decline or modify services at any time in the interest of client safety.
First-time clients are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment to complete intake paperwork and a health consultation. Completing intake forms in advance is encouraged and will be made available upon booking.
Returning clients are asked to arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow for check-in and any updates to their treatment plan.
Outcall (in-home) massage services are available to established clients who have completed a minimum of three in-office sessions, as well as new clients referred by a trusted colleague or established referral partner. Sessions completed prior to the practice pause count toward this threshold.
Outcall pricing includes travel within 20 minutes of the Takoma office location. For locations beyond that radius, additional travel charges may apply and will be communicated prior to booking.
A reduced rate is available for clients who maintain a professional-quality massage table on site. This accommodation reduces physical wear on the therapist, the equipment, and the vehicle, and is offered as an incentive for clients who book regular outcall appointments. Table recommendations are available upon request.
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without penalty. Please provide as much notice as possible to allow the appointment slot to be filled.
Late cancellations (within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment): A fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service will be charged.
No-shows and cancellations within 3 hours of the appointment time: The full session fee will be charged.
Payment of any outstanding fees is required before a new appointment will be scheduled.
Clients who are ill or potentially contagious are asked to reschedule their appointments as soon as possible. This includes but is not limited to upper respiratory symptoms, flu, fever, sore throat, stomach illness, or any undiagnosed skin condition. Massage therapy can intensify certain illnesses; rescheduling protects both the client and the therapist.

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, Venmo, credit card, and HSA/FSA cards.
A $25 fee will be assessed for any returned checks.
Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC does not offer gift cards, prepaid packages, or memberships. All sessions are booked and paid for individually.
Prices are subject to change without notice. The current rate for any service will be communicated at the time of booking.
Because services are rendered in person and involve the direct time of a licensed practitioner, all sales are final. Refunds are not issued for completed sessions. In cases of documented error or extenuating circumstance, refund requests may be considered at the sole discretion of Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC.
All services provided by Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC are strictly professional and non-sexual in nature. Sexual harassment of any kind, including suggestive remarks, inappropriate requests, or unwanted physical contact, will result in the immediate termination of the session. Full payment will remain due. Lauren Piro reserves the right to refuse future services and to contact law enforcement if warranted.
Clients are expected to communicate respectfully and honestly throughout the therapeutic relationship. Misrepresentation of identity, health status, or intent may result in termination of the client relationship.
By booking a session, clients consent to receive therapeutic massage and agree to communicate their preferences, needs, and any discomfort during the session. This includes feedback regarding pressure, technique, room temperature, lighting, and any other aspects of the session. The therapist will check in periodically and will honor reasonable requests within her scope of practice.
Clients may end a session at any time for any reason.
All client information, including health intake forms, treatment notes, and personal communications, is kept strictly confidential. Information will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property law. No portion of this site may be copied, reproduced, republished, or distributed in any form without prior written consent from Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC.
This website and all information on it are provided "as is" without representation or warranty of any kind. Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC does not warrant that the information on this site is current, complete, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are expressly disclaimed.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this website or services provided. Total liability, in any case, shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session giving rise to the claim.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms, this website, or services provided by Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington, DC.
Lauren Piro Wellness, LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this website with an updated effective date. Continued use of this website or booking of services following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
